Why this training is important:

  • Cal/OSHA requires employers in agriculture to have an effective program to protect farmworkers from heat.
  • It is important to review the heat law §3595 and discuss practical solutions to offer water, shade, and rest.
  • It is important to know how heat affects the way our body works, and to understand the short and long term health risk of dehydration; as well as how to reduce our risk.
  • We will provide educational materials that will help you train your workers.
