The 8th Annual National Farm Conference will provide an opportunity for you to discuss and respond to a series of questions about the current and future of agriculture as well as gain hands-on experience about what farming entails.

This year we are welcoming Peter Vang, Executive Director for the Lao Veterans of America, Inc. (LVA). Vang has received many awards, such as the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Hmong National Farmer Association and the "2005 Community Involvement and Leadership Award" from the California Forum on Refugee Affairs-Refugee Recognition: 30 Years of Celebration, for his dedication and service to the Asian-American community. Prior to LVA, Vang served as Staff Analyst and Refugee Community Liaison for the Fresno County Department of Social Services (DSS).

Previous keynote speakers include: Paul Wenger, President of the California Farm Bureau (2016); Kenneth E. Johnson, Director, Civil Rights Diversity and Inclusion, USDA-APHIS (2015); Shirley Sherrod Civil Rights Leader, Former USDA State Director (2013); Dr. Joe Leonard, Jr., USDA, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (2012)
